Blue Spirulina Vanilla Iced Latte Recipe

This impressive layered iced latte is deceptively easy to make! It's the perfect refreshing drink to help you cool down on a hot summer's day and is sure to impress whoever you make it for! It also uses both our Blue Spirulina and Shroom Coffee for a double hit of health benefits. We'll drink to that!


Why would I add Blue Spirulina to my iced latte?

Spirulina is a blue-green algae which grows naturally in lakes and fresh water. It is thought to be one of the most nutrient-dense foods in the world, thanks to its high concentration of Vitamins, Minerals, Fibre, Protein and Omega-3.

How can I make a frothy iced coffee?

For this recipe you will need an electric milk frother or machine, rather than a handheld one - which works best with warm milk. Simply choose the cold setting and let the machine do the hard work for you!

If you don't have an electric milk frother, don't worry! You can still enjoy the delicious flavours and nutritious health benefits of this recipe, just without the three-tiered effect!


What is the best coffee to use in a vanilla latte?

We've used our original Shroom Coffee for this recipe. It maintains it's great taste once cooled and has a smooth flavour which works perfectly with the light, frothy milk and vanilla!

Shroom Coffee is a blend of Organic Arabica coffee with dual-extracted Lion's Mane, Chaga and Cordyceps mushrooms. Ice Blue Layer

White Layer

  • 70ml oat milk (or your preferred plant-based milk)

Coffee Layer



  1. Prepare the Shroom Coffee with hot water and allow to cool
  2. Add the ingredients for the ice blue layer to an electric milk frother and, using the cold setting, froth until light and airy
  3. Pour the ice blue layer into a cool glass over ice, then carefully spoon over the white layer, followed by the coffee layer
  4. Finish with some extra frothed oat milk, if desired
